FINCA HONOR VELL, MALLORCA - DANIELLE & MARIO’S RUSTIC WEDDING.
Take a look at the stunning Destination wedding of Danielle and Mario, located at the idyllic Finca Honor Vell tucked between the Tramuntana Mountains. After a year of restrictions and with guests from over 10 countries coming together to reunite, I knew this celebration was going to be something quite special.
The ceremony set up was located behind the Finca next to a tree line of Danielle’s favourite - Olive trees. Both Danielle and Mario wanted their guests to have a view of the mountains when watching the ceremony and opted to keep the set up simple to not distract from the surroundings. The very talented Arantxa at Flowerscence dressed the aisle with the most gorgeous peach tone flowers which complimented the rustic Finca incredibly well. At the end of the aisle on the Olive tree featured fabric draped elegantly in between branches with more flowers to create a simple ceremony arch.
Beautiful intricate stationary was designed by Papira based in Transylvania, Romania. Danielle opted for a gold and pearl earring made by La Mano based in Luxembourg. Danielle’s simple jewellery choice worked perfectly alongside the rest of the outfit including Loeffler and Randall pleated white heels.
Now let’s talk about the dress… Danielle’s dress oozed relaxed summer wedding in a nutshell! Not just a dress but a two piece wedding gown, cropped with puff sleeves! This Alexandra Grecco design has to be one of my favourites for a modern luxe summer bride. It screams effortlessly stylish and it’s lightweight, breathable material makes it ideal for a hot destination wedding.
In keeping with the relaxed summer style, Mario wore a stone coloured linen suit from Menswear designer Isaac Dewhirst which was pretty sensible in 40 degree celsius weather! Mario’s burnt orange bow tie blended perfectly with the pops of colours found within the flowers. The rest of the groomsmen were asked to wear whatever they wanted to keep the event relaxed and ensure everyone was comfortable.
As the ceremony began, Danielle walked down the aisle to acoustic music played by Panela Productions. The blessing ceremony was led by one of Danielle and Mario’s best friends and featured many personal stories of them as a couple. A truly unique ceremony for this special couple.
As well as live music and readings, Danielle and Mario chose to write their very own vows to one another. Something I highly recommend to couples if they want that personal touch.
Danielle and Mario’s drinks reception was honestly one of the most fun and beautiful receptions I have had the pleasure of shooting. The atmosphere was just on another level and everyone got involved in the celebrations. Champagne was flowing, the sun was shining and Paco from Panela Productions got the party started instantly with his live band.
The dinner set up on the other side of the Finca was another beautiful sight. Long banquet tables placed in front of a blush stone farm house with string lighting draped above. This will always be one of my favourite settings! The perfect situ for Al Fresco dining with family and friends. The dinner setting was combined effort from Flowerscence and the caterers Manchego who I highly recommend if you’re planning a wedding in Mallorca.
The great thing about hiring Paco from Panela Productions is that not only is his band one of the most entertaining, he can also double up as a DJ for the evening. And well, if you are looking for a DJ who isn’t you’re typical wedding DJ and will actually mix a range of tracks on the night then look no further! Paco turned this Mallorca wedding into a full on discotheque by night and had everyone on their feet until the early hours. Honestly, just book him, you won’t regret it!
Thank you to Danielle and Mario for trusting me to capture this truly wonderful celebration. Mallorca has a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to be back one day soon.
